Periods of prolonged high water usage can strain treatment and distribution infrastructure, and the District of Sicamous wants to ensure the system maintains sufficient reserves for fire services if required. To better manage water demand and ensure sufficient supply during summer months and more severe drought conditions, the District has implemented Stage 2 Water Restrictions, effective Friday, July 21.
Stage 2 Water Restrictions include:
Automatic Watering (sprinkler or irrigation) |
|
Manual Watering (handheld hose) |
|
Non-essential water use |
