Tenders & Proposals

Thank you for considering doing business with the District of Sicamous.

We maintain a competitive bidding process in accordance with municipal and provincial laws. We are conscious of our responsibility in the expenditure of public funds, including the acquisition of goods and services. Suppliers and vendors are encouraged to participate in bidding for the District's various requirements.

Purchases are made from local, provincial, national and international sources, depending on the nature and type of purchase.

Local photographers - we need your help. The Sek'emaws (Sicamous) Health Centre is under construction and expected to be open in the spring of 2025. We want this building to reflect the beauty of the place that it is located. That's where you come in!

We invite photographers to submit photographs that capture the spirit, culture and history of Sicamous. We encourage pieces that reflect the community's unique identity, including its connection to nature, local traditions and stories that resonate with residents and visitors alike. This is an opportunity to celebrate our heritage and vibrant culture.

Selected photographs will be displayed in the hallways of the Sek'emaws (Sicamous) Health Centre and in the Sicamous Community Health Centre. Up to 40 photographs will be chosen!

The District of Sicamous is excited to issue a request for proposals from professional planning consultants to lead the creation of our new Official Community Plan (OCP). This project will define our community’s vision, guide sustainable growth and prepare us for the challenges of the future.

As the backbone of our community planning, the OCP incorporates economic, environmental and social sustainability into policies that shape our neighbourhoods, businesses and environment. The OCP was last updated in 2016, which means it is time to reflect on how the world has changed and align our vision with new realities.

This OCP update is more than a technical plan - it's an opportunity for our community to come together, share ideas and build a resilient future.

We're looking for consultants with expertise in master planning, urban design, transportation planning, stakeholder engagement and more. The successful proponent will guide this collaborative process to ensure that public input and innovative ideas remain at teh forefront.

Interested consultants are invited to review the request for proposals document and submit their proposal by 4:30 p.m. on February 14, 2025.
