The Sicamous Pump Track is open and ready to ride!
A pump track is a circuit track that consists of rolling mounds and berms (banked corners). The circuit is completed by pumping to gain momentum. Riders use their bodies to push and pull the bike to “pump” through the track while gaining momentum. Pump tracks are meant to be completed without pedal strokes and can also be ridden by skateboards and scooters.
With all of the fun that comes with pumping through the track, there is also significant risk to riders. Please ensure that you are wearing appropriate protective gear (a helmet especially) while riding the pump track.
Here are some general guidelines for using the pump track:
- Always wear protective gear (especially a helmet).
- Leave nothing on the pump track.
- Avoid the track as a pedestrian or spectator.
- Give right-of-way to the rider ahead of you.
Signage, bleachers and line-painting are yet to be complete on the pump track. Please stay tuned for more information regarding a brief pump track closure so this work can be complete.
