The District of Sicamous is accepting proposals from general contractors qualified to complete planned infrastructure upgrades to Riverside Avenue.

If you can believe it, the existing water infrastructure is over 50 years old! From Kappel Street to Martin Street, fire flow will be increased by replacing the aging water main from 6” line to 10”. Following the water main replacement and upgrade, the roadway will be reconstructed and the sidewalk on the west side will be repaved.

The Riverside Avenue infrastructure project is within the five-year financial plan and is funded by capital reserves and developer contributions. It is anticipated the project will begin in the summer/fall of 2024. Watch for updates as the project moves forward! 

RFP proposals must be submitted by 2 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024.
