Boat traffic on the Sicamous Narrows may experience some delays or disruption next week as work is being done to string fibre optic cable across the waterway.

The work is being done between Monday, April 22 and Thursday, April 25, 2024.

The project is being conducted by Artic Arrow Powerline Group, which will be out in the area, including on the water, stringing the cable. 

Provisions are being made with the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue for any emergency boat response that could be required during this time.
