Notice of Public Hearing: OCP and Zoning Amendments

Public hearings will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 5 p.m. in council chambers (District of Sicamous Municipal Hall, 446 Main Street, Sicamous, BC, V0E 2V0) to consider District of Sicamous Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw No. 1088, 2024 and Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1089, 2024.

Proposes to re-designate the subject portion of the property, legally described as LOT 3 SECTION 1 TOWNSHIP 22 RANGE 8 WEST OF THE 6TH MERIDIAN KAMLOOPS DIVISION YALE DISTRICT PLAN KAP69699 EXCEPT PLANS KAP84628, EPP59095, EPP61920, EPP64843, EPP89682 AND EPP110661 (675 Old Town Road), from Rural/General Industrial to Residential Low Density and, further, excluding the subject area from the Industrial Development Permit Area to accommodate future residential development; 5-lot fee-simple subdivision and a 43-lot bare land strata subdivision. |

Proposes to rezone the subject portion of the property, legally described as LOT 3 SECTION 1 TOWNSHIP 22 RANGE 8 WEST OF THE 6TH MERIDIAN KAMLOOPS DIVISION YALE DISTRICT PLAN KAP69699 EXCEPT PLANS KAP84628, EPP59095, EPP61920, EPP64843, EPP89682 AND EPP110661 (675 Old Town Road), from I-1 Industrial – General to R-2 General Residential – Small Parcel and, further, providing site specific regulations (allowing denser form of residential development; smaller parcel, relaxed setback requirements, increased allowable density etc.) to accommodate future residential development; 5-lot fee-simple subdivision and a 43-lot bare land strata subdivision. |

If you believe your interest in property is affected by the proposed bylaws, you may be heard at the public hearing or submit written comments. Written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, to be included on the meeting agenda.
