Budget discussions are well underway!

Council will discuss increases to property taxes and utility rates this Wednesday at the select finance committee meeting. These meetings are open to the public, so join us and see what it costs to run a municipality!

There is a public input period at the end of each meeting for residents to share their thoughts with the committee.

Current proposed rate increases in the second draft of the budget are as follows:

• Property Taxes – 4.4%
• Water – 5%
• Sewer – 10% (with the option of an additional 10%)

These increases would cost the average taxpayer an additional $142 annually, which is $12 monthly.
