2024 Christmas Light Up Parade

The holiday season is upon us, and what better way to celebrate than by joining in the joy and excitement of the Christmas Parade! This beloved annual event is a perfect opportunity for families, friends and community members to come together and celebrate the magic of Christmas.
YOUR ITINERARY: DECEMBER 7, 2024
- At 5:15 p.m., make your way down to Main Street Landing to enjoy some hot chocolate, coffee and cookies by the fire as you await the Christmas Light Up Parade.
- The parade begins at 5:30 p.m.
- Make sure to stick around after the parade to enjoy a community Christmas carol singalong at 6:15 p.m.!
- Watch in wonder as Mayor Anderson leads the count down and lights up the Main Street Christmas Tree!
ROAD CLOSURES & PARKING ON DECEMBER 7
- Main Street will be closed from Shuswap Avenue to Riverside Avenue. The road will be closed from 2 to 7 p.m. Please note that the road is open to all pedestrian traffic!
- There will be no thru traffic from Riverside Avenue at the west end of Main Street (traffic circle).
- Please refer to the map at the bottom of this page for more details on parking and traffic interruptions.

REGISTER TO BE IN THE CHRISTMAS PARADE!
Registering for the Christmas Parade is simple! Fill out the Christmas Parade Registration Form or contact the recreation department (250-836-2477 ext. 2192). The deadline for submissions is November 29, 2024.
Parade route:
- Start at Eagle River Secondary School
- Head south down Paradise Ave
- Turn RIGHT onto Main Street
- Travel down Main Street
- Turn LEFT on to Riverside
- Turn LEFT on Temple Street
- Travel down Temple Street
- Turn LEFT on Shuswap Ave
- Travel down Shuswap Ave
- The parade ends at the corner of Shuswap Avenue and Main Street
