The bylaw enforcement officer reports to the development services manager. The position involves the enforcement of all district bylaws, including traffic, noise, animal control, unsightly premises, water, parks and burning bylaws. The bylaw enforcement officer is required to operate a vehicle during patrols. Candidates should also be prepared to walk, sometimes at length, to patrol parks and various events.

Hours of work will range from 22.5 to 37.5 hours per week depending on the time of year.
